Merino socks - merino wool socks

Merino socks from the Bolter sock manufactory in Austria are made of OEKO-TEX 100 certified merino wool of the highest quality. The proportion of merino wool in our wool socks is up to 82% depending on the model – significantly more than most other manufacturers!

This really brings out the positive properties of the noble merino wool. It is breathable, moisture-regulating (merino wool can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture), odor-inhibiting (the protein from the fibers breaks down odor-causing bacteria) and significantly softer than regular sheep’s wool, as the fibers of the merino sheep are much finer.

Merino fiber provides excellent temperature regulation. In winter or in cold conditions, the fibers are warming. Responsible for this is their crimped structure, in which insulating air is optimally bound. In summer, the wool cools thanks to its unique breathability.
